Through Glow, authorised users will be able to manage documents and publish information - from basic news stories to Word documents and videos.
It’s important that the quality of information on Glow is as high as possible. That’s why it’s possible to create nominated users, who can approve new content before it appears on the site.
As part of the content creation and editing processes, users can add extra information about the content - including terms to help the search facility, as well as 'publish from' and 'publish until' dates.
All the content is published using a simple editor, which is on the portal. No special skill, knowledge or extra software is required.
This editor can be personalised - for example, some users may just need simple text editing, while others may want more options to format and control their content.
Authorised administrative staff within each authority and school can write and publish news items or announcements, controlled by a calendar, directly to the users they choose.
Personal spaces are available to all staff and pupils. The spaces provide the personal storage area for these users. The school can also allow the individual to customise their personal space in a way that suits them.
